Reason # 82,351 you and your friends should ride with the JDRF West Michigan team this year

If this photo doesn't recruit more riders for our team, I don't know what will. Because let's be honest... you can't make coaches with spirit like this. They are born.

Other blogs of note

Several riders from the West Michigan Team keep their own blogs. These detail training for the rides over the last couple of years, as well as other fun, bike related stuff.

Past ride teams

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation West Michigan chapter has had a Ride team for the past five years. Each year, we get a little bigger (and hopefully a little better). The mission of the team aligns directly with the mission of JDRF: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.

Well, guess what, research costs money and therefore we need to raise money. Each of the riders on our team is out to raise money for a cure. It is the Ride to Cure Diabetes.

This picture is the 2006 Death Valley Ride team from West Michigan, and you can see how large of a team we were. We also had teams in Asheville, NC and Whitefish, MT.

Just think, we've added 20+ members to the team this year!

We have lots of riders this year:
- 22 going to Whitefish, MT in August
- 4 going to Whitefish, MT in September
- 35 going to Death Valley in October

It's an amazing experience. Interested in joining us? Go to http://ride.jdrf.org and sign up! We have team members from all over the country.
